OAKS AND PINES SCHOOL RULES OF CONDUCT

O&P GIRLS SHALL ALWAYS:

1.   Apply themselves to their studies in a serious, focused manner and do their homework and assignments diligently and on time.

If a pupil wants to speak in class, she must raise her hand. When called upon she will stand up, speak, and then sit down again. No other talking is permitted, as well as other activities disturbing class like eating, passing messages, etc.

2.   Conduct themselves in a manner befitting a young lady, guard their reputation and the good name of the school.

Running, pushing etc., is forbidden. This includes the dangerous practice of sliding down the banisters.

3.  Show due respect to their elders.

Girls will stand up when an elder enters a room. Men are to be addressed as “Sir”, women as “Miss” or by their name (e.g. Miss Szabo / Mrs Couzens).

4.  Obey instructions in a prompt and courteous manner, maintain an impeccable appearance, keep their clothes clean and tidy and strictly adhere to the uniform regulations.

5.  Girls are not permitted to possess clothing other than the school uniforms and approved Sunday and travel wear. Suitable items may be withdrawn from the Registrar for special occasions with prior permission.

Keep themselves in good physical condition.

These rules have been instituted to help you and protect you as you learn and grow with us. That is why we insist that you follow them. There may be times that these rules don’t cover each situation, and at those times remember that you are an O&P young lady and you should and will be expected to act with honor and decorum. As you grow we know that you will want to push your boundaries, but remember that all actions have consequences.

Your time at Oaks and Pines is a time you will remember.
