Hello everyone, my name is Estelle Hermione Porte. I am a senior, the only daughter of Baptiste and Elsa who are two french doctors. My mother is a medical one while my father is more on the research side which allow him to have more time to educate me but I must say that I was not raise only by him. I love my parents, they always believe in me and make everything to help me grow in a good way.

 

We live in Normandy, in the countryside, in a manor but I have been schooled like anyone in public school until now.

 

I am a rather joyful girl, I practice modern dance since I was 5 years old. I love doing it and especially dance show for families or public performance. I also love to play board games, especially with my dad, either classical ones like monopoly, times up or more complicated ones such as 7 wonder or seasons. During secondary school, I became a little geeky and start playing video games. I also read a lot, mostly fiction, non-fiction only for school work. I am eclectic in my fictional reading from fantasy (Tolkien or Pullman) to historical stories (Jane Austen) or detective (Agatha Christie or Conan Doyle). I recently take interest in sewing for making cosplay, strengthening my geeky side, but not for sexy costume but rather historical ones.

 

Regarding school, I am a rather good student, I can be a little Miss know it all in some school subjects such as biology and history but I am not especially class leader or teacher pet. I am rather a good classmate, even if sometimes my geeky side can make me a teasing target.

 

So why I am about to join Oak and Pines …. the first thing my dad told me was for improving my English as nowdays it is one important language for work … but there is more to it …. indeed I may … or may not regarding who you ask … started lately to wander off the straight and narrow  as my father should say … some of my grades went a little low compared to what I previously had, I stay up at night chatting or playing video games, sometimes I had temper and talk back and bad to people or my parents, i also got sometimes distracted during class. My father, which take charge of my discipline, tried to use positive discipline at first but it seems to him that it was not efficient enough. So he start threatening me with old fashioned discipline such as grounding or early bedtime which i found rather ridiculous as I am now a big girl. So he came up with the idea of sending me to Oak and Pines. And  here i am !
