Mary Dunbar is a 32 year old Scot, who was born andbrought up in Edinburgh, where she received an M.A.degree and a Diploma in Education.

She has dark curly hair, which is always getting inthe way; she has a good figure and is about 5 foot 7; she has blue eyes. She seldom wears make up. She has been told that she looks younger than her years.

She is very proud of her Scottish background, and heraccent becomes quite noticeable when excited orannoyed.

She started teaching in Primary schools, with children up to 11, then moved to mixed secondary schools. Her last post was in an all girls school in the English Midlands.

She has taught many subjects at primary level, but haslimited herself to English language and literature andgeography, while teaching the older age groups.

She strongly believes that education is not simply amatter of  providing  pupils with information, but,rather, of encouraging them to find it out for themselves.

Her discipline is fair, yet firm; she is a strong believer in corporal punishment and will have no hesitation in chastising girls at O and P if they so deserve.

She lately married Mr Ian Couzens, Mrs Mary Dunbar-Couzens
