Violet Woodward

Moving from Atlanta to Switzerland was something that Violet had never expected to happen.  She certainly didn’t expect it to be her birthday present (she was hoping for a car, maybe not the newest model, but a car would have been nice!) and definitely was not expecting to be the newest junior at Oaks and Pines boarding school in the process.

Her father, a professor at one of the city’s highly regarded colleges had research work to do, and being the sole daughter of a single father that meant that it was time to move. While moving wasn’t something she wasn’t unused to, leaving her high school in the middle of her junior year scared her more than anything else. Moving across seas? That was new too. With her father mostly traveling through Europe for his own work, it only made sense for Violet to be sent to a boarding school where she could have a sense of grounding and a place to call home. In theory, it was better than a laptop with online school and moving from hotel room to hotel room, but she would sure miss being able to do Algebra in her pajamas.

She had no clue how her father learned of this school, other than one of his colleagues in Switzerland had recommended it.  When packing to leave America took all of her time and she was finally able to look at the brochure a week before their flight- the school looked like nothing she would have ever expected. Her school in Atlanta had no dress code, but this place had a uniform? That and the rulebook alone… It  was like her whole world was turned over. That being said, she would try the best to make the most of it.

She brought her favorite camera, with a blank photo album to try to capture the memories that she would make to share with her friends back in America.

Violet stands at about 5’4″ with curly black hair and cocoa skin. She enjoys photography and fashion, and has a notebook for fashion design. She learned needlework from her grandmother, and ever since has created some of her own pieces that she wore back home. Her style is a mixture of alternative and vintage fashion, but she enjoys sewing quite a number of things.

Violet tends to be good at mathematics and English, but doesn’t really care about most of her school subjects. As long as she passes, she doesn’t put too much thought into them. Occasionally she can get into mischief, but she’s not too forward about getting in trouble. She rather keep her mischief hidden. After all, why roll up a skirt if you could just hem it instead?
Once she was told that corporal punishment was being used at her new school, Violet didn’t bat an eye. They paddled kids her schools back in in America. She even got a few licks once. She had no idea what kind of world she was about to step into however.
